Happy New Years! We spent our New Years day in the shade of an enormous live oak while the kids stunned us with bike tricks. Brooklyn asked for another Harry Potter birthday and her birthday wish is our command. The grown ups toasted the New Year with champagne while the kids guzzled down as much butter beer as they could.

Brooklyn is eight. She lost her front tooth on Christmas Eve.

The kids built a Hogwarts Castle replica.

We ate cake and opened gifts.

We played Pin the Scar on Harry Potter complete with blindfolding and spinning. I have to say this was my favorite part of the party that had the grown ups laughing the most.

After the party finished, we made Brooklyn’s bed into a Harry Potter heaven. She fell asleep reading Chapter 1 of the first book in the series, the Philosophers Stone.

It’s so exciting you moved back to Florida? Colorado and the Wild West looked so fun for you and the kids. What prompted the move back? I’ll hope to be able to see everyone at some point. Let me know how you are doing and if you are near Lakeland. All is well here, with the exception of our continued covid quarantine. Take care, and welcome back. Cynthia Haffey. 863.838.2262
